The 20th Vietnam International Food & Beverage Exhibition

The Vietnam International Food & Beverage Exhibition is held annually and has become an important trade promotion event for Vietnam’s beverage industry as well as the region. Under the direction and support of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee and the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Industry and Trade, the Ho Chi Minh City Food and Foodstuff Association, in collaboration with the organizer Vinexad Advertising & Trade Fair Joint Stock Company and the Vietnam Beer – Alcohol – Beverage Association, is hosting the 20th Vietnam International Food & Beverage Exhibition and the 20th International Exhibition on Food & Beverage Processing and Packaging Technology (Vietfood & Beverage – ProPack Vietnam 2016).

The Vietnam International Food & Beverage Exhibition is an annual trade promotion event that has been expanding in both scale and quality. It has received high recognition from the city authorities, government agencies, enterprises, and visitors. The exhibition ensures its objectives of helping domestic companies expand business opportunities, develop markets, and boost exports, while enabling foreign companies to seek distributors in Vietnam.

Vietfood & Beverage – ProPack Vietnam 2015 attracted the participation of 298 domestic and international companies with a total display area of 346 booths, showcasing processed foods, beverages, hotel and restaurant supply services, food processing technology and equipment, and packaging solutions. Participating brands included well-known names in Vietnam’s market such as:

  • In Food: Vissan, Cau Tre, ABC Confectionery, Khanh Hoa Salanganes’ Nest, Sa Giang Import-Export JSC, etc.

  • In Beverages: Saigon Beer – Alcohol – Beverage Corporation (SABECO), Tan Hiep Phat Group, Hanoi Beer – Alcohol – Beverage Corporation (HABECO), Vietnam Brewery Limited, Bidrico, etc.
    Also present were international wine brands such as Niva (Ukraine), Vox Trading (Japan), imported wines from Italy; Bunashimeji mushrooms from Hokuto (Japan); and soy sauce from Ta Tung (Taiwan).

A highlight of 2015 was the participation of 10 Taiwanese companies showcasing their signature products such as traditional cakes, traditional black chicken, biscuits, soy sauce, etc. In addition, companies supplying food processing ingredients and additives joined, such as Miyako (Japan), Tianjin Chufa, Jining, and Micro Tech (China).

Beyond processed foods and beverages, the exhibition attracted companies introducing the most advanced technologies in food and beverage processing, packaging, and labeling. Notable exhibitors included Nishihara, Topack, and Toyo Jidoky (Japan, distributed by A Chau Co.); food packaging machines from Kien Cuong Trading Co.; Geoge Food (distributed by Kim Dien Phong Co.); bottle and can capping machines from Yeudong (China); and meat processing, cutting, and grinding machines from Shenyang Jixiang (China).

The Vietnam International Food & Beverage Exhibition consistently receives strong support from ministries and relevant agencies for both domestic and international businesses. It serves to enhance cooperation, promote trade, facilitate the exchange and access to global products and technology, and develop domestic brands. The event contributes to the comprehensive growth in both quality and quantity of Vietnam’s food processing, beverage, and packaging industries, while boosting exports.
